Mobility counseling

Designed to thwart residential segregation, this innovation assists rental subsidy holders to rent apartments wherever they are available throughout the region. Research shows children in participating families tend to improve lifetime earnings and have better education and health outcomes.

Coming in 2024 - 2028: HOME INC will provide mobility counseling services to about 450 families in South Central and Southwestern CT to increase housing opportunity.

Relocation counseling

Utilizing government funds in developing housing usually triggers resources to protect existing tenants from rapid displacement. Combined with a mobility orientation, thees funds can not only protect tenants but also break down segregation.

HOME INC has provided such services to a number of clients.
